Michael Stern will discuss his new book, I Had a Ball: My Friendship with Lucille Ball, sharing his 18-year friendship and life changing experiences with his friend, Lucille Ball. Through his heartwarming story, we will discover and share core values and learning’s that came second nature to ‘Lucy’. Values missing from our society today, but still very valid and self-empowering, for how we should connect with others and society for meaningful impact.
Prior to writing his book, I Had a Ball: My Friendship with Lucille Ball, Lucille Ball’s children Desi Jr. and Lucie Arnaz gave Michael full authorization and gladly welcomed the idea, because they knew how much their Mother liked Michael, and they knew the book would be honest and full of stories that no one but Michael would know.
Over the years, Michael has traveled all over the U.S. sharing his experiences speaking at various engagements and conventions, TV and radio shows, and book signings. This August, Michael was a featured guest speaker at the “Lucille Ball 100th Birthday Celebration” in Jamestown, NY, the birthplace of Lucille Ball.
